“Bergisel” battle in the year 1809 / LORENZ Woodcarving

The relief “The battle at Bergisel” was a commissional work from 2003 – 2006. The impressions arise from the panorama house in Innsbruck / Tyrol (giant cyclorama). It shows the battle from August 13^th 1809 in defence of the Tyrolean independence. We have worked into this relief the most important scenes from the folk array, under command of Andreas Hofer and elaborated in most intensive detail work more than 100 figures.

A full – page article in a Japanese travel guide (Cross World) describes the production and the processing of carvings and Christmas crèches in the LORENZ Woodcarving in Seefeld / Tyrol.

Madonna from LORENZ Woodcarving in the church of Hägerau / Tyrol.

In the course of renovation works of the church in Hägerau in 1988, the firm LORENZ Woodcarving was charged to carve a baroque Madonna adequate to the style of the small baroque church.

The wooden relief “From the seed to bread” was a commissional work from a miller and describes different craft guilds from farmers to millers to bakers.

Commissional work for a crèche house with crèche figures. From a simple crèche stable, a Tyrolean crèche house up to an oriental crèche everything is produced individually by LORENZ Woodcarving. We carve as well corresponding crèche figures.




Life – sized Saint Christopher – LORENZ Woodcarving

Saint Christopher was a commissional work for decorating a house front. This holy figure and patron saint is produced out of “Zirbe” and tight fitting in wooden alcove.

Special carving of clothes hangers – LORENZ Woodcarving

A commission of a particular kind was the production of different wood carved  clothes hangers in form of different amusing figures made out of wood together with custom – made clothes.

Carved skier in a wood stem - LORENZ Woodcarving

A special figure (skier of Seefeld) directly carved from the wood stem of a “Zirbe” was the work for the crafts show in Seefeld in 2001.

Madonna for alcove and constitution in a rustical parlour – LORENZ Woodcarving

The Madonna was a commission for a rustically Tyrolean parlour and was especially adapted.
